TruMatch™ Personalized Knee Replacement Tecnology

True Match Knee Replacement TechnologyThe Center for Ortohepic Surgery offers our patients TruMatch™ a customized knee replacement solution designed specifically for your anatomy.

TruMatch is only available with Sigma® Knee Replacements, a three-dimensional computerized scan of your leg is used to create a customized surgical guide based on your unique anatomy. TruMatch developed by DePuy Orthopaedics was designed to create consistency in the placement and positioning of your knee replacement.

Positioning and alignment are crucial to the overall performance of your implant. Research has found that even a slight misalignment can lead to uneven wear, instability and increased risk of revision surgery following knee replacement.

Benefits of TruMatch Personalized Solutions

How does the TruMatch Solution work?

State-of-the-art software, along with your CT scan is used to create a virtual 3-D model that shows the structure of your knee and the progression of your arthritis. DePuy Orthopaedics then works with your surgeon to develop customized instrumentation:

Step OneStep 1
A CT scan is taken of your leg at the hospital or image center. The structure of your knee is analyzed and your personalized guides are created.

Step 2Step 2
The image is sent to DePuy Orthopaedics where a special team works with your surgeon to develop a 3-D model of your knee.

Step 3Step 3
The structure of your knee is analyzed and your personalized guides are created for optimum placement of your knee replacement.

Step 4Step 4
Your guides are delivered to your surgeon the day of your surgery to help position and place your new knee implant. The guides are removed prior to your new knee being implanted.

The performance of knee replacements depends on age, weight, activity level, and other factors. There are potential risks and recovery takes time. Ask Dr. Kehoe or Dr. Hanlon if knee replacement is right for you.
